  • You’ve got my vote. You’re an excellent teacher, and I think you’d make a lot of complicated probability problems clearer to people studying for the exams. I’d spread the word about you at my school’s actuarial club if you posted something.

  • @llorkcir2 i have thought about making some; was not sure anyone would be interested

  • the odds are written on the back of the ticket

  • Do you do any tutoring for actuarial exams?

  • If you choose 5 numbers from 1 to 56, first multiply 1*2*3*4*5 and get 120, now multiply 56*55*54*53*52 and get 458,377,920 now divide that by 120 and get 3,819,816 now multiply that times 46 and get 175,711,536 and your odds of winning are 1 in 175,711,536

  • I figure you have the same chance of winning the lottery wether you play or not.

  • Here in Florida the lighting chance is alot easier. 🙂

  • I wonder if there’s a way to make winning more likely, like the equivelant of flying a kite in a thunderstorm! 🙂

  • You’re a hero.

  • hey guys i did some research to see whether those numbers that were guessed on this video had actually come up any where as winning numbers, and i found out something very interesting. ON THURSDAY 1ST OF OCTOBER 2009, DRAW NO.698 AUSTRALIAN POWERBALL- 25 17 8 32 9 POWER BALL 17, DIVISION 1 PRIZE OF $4,930,663.15…….IF ONLY I WAS WATCHING THIS VIDEO THE NIGHT BEFORE THE DRAW!!!!

  • @FemmePhobia
probably, but i forgot almost everything about probabilities =((

  • @aizik2005 i kind of agree with you and i think that in the video he solves the problem thinking that they extract the 5 balls at the same time….

  • watch 25, 17, 8, 32, 9 ::: and 17 will come up. Then it will be ROFL.

  • So the calculation should be

    56x56x56x56x56x46?

But if you pick one number each time that cannot be used again it should be

    56x55x54x53x52x46?

  • we left handers rulez

  • Pretty sure if every person in US would buy a ticket for sure someone would win.
Lets see .00000000056911 x 300,000,000 (US population) = .01707…. wow that is one percent chance! how come someone win every month?

  • @xSirFarisx yep, might as well not be you

  • Lol! 😀 somebody gotta WIN !!

  • The value of winning the lottery is less for you than the rest of us because you aren’t smart enough to know what to do with your money if you did win. I’d recommend you not play the lottery.

  • i did not understand nothing actually , im into this and new to it too , and want to try my luck can u help me with some more explanations? my ya hoo email is Nizaleo please contact me , please

  • Donated. Thanks!

  • Hello sir.
    should not it be then
    1/(56!) * 1/(55!) * 1/(54) * 1/(53) * 1/52!
because the propability of getting next wanted number increases as number of balls gets smaller. then all previous numbers * 1/46 or w/e it is.
or, if there are random numbers on a lottery sheet, then (5C5)/(56C5) * 1/46 makes sense

  • LMFAOOOOOO HAHA

  • whered you get subtracted from?
