This is a clip from the 1954 film Raqsat al Wadaa (The Farewell Dance) In this film Samia Gamal plays the role of a dancer at a club and in this particular scene they are doing a dinner show. The emperor at the beggining of the show is sad and crying because he bought a lottery ticket but did not win the lottery. So to cheer him up the elderly toothless man comes in and presents the emperor with a performance by Samia Gamal who is brought in rolled up inside of a carpet. The music is called KINGS DANCE and was composed by Bobby Elmanza. Samia Gamal’s costume was designed by designer Pierre Cleofas.
