September 20, 2010 at 2:21 amSuch a great film version. Last year, I presented this version in my English college class which my professor said he “never saw this version before” and thought it was good.

September 20, 2010 at 6:18 amTrue, the movie goes well beyond Shirley Jackson’s original short story, but the writers did a wonderful job expanding the storyline. The whole plot surrounding Jason’s father and his betrayal of the people of New Hope is not only intriguing, but it ties excellently with the story of “The Lottery.”
