Im going thru a divorce & my soon 2 b ex has been accussing me of all kinds of crazy things from fraud, cybersex…etc. While at the same time my email inbox has been OVER RUN w/all kinds of garbage like lotteries, banking and really nasty porn, approx. 200-400 a day. N lately the computer started acting weird, slowin down, or just gets that lost n space-not going anywhere attitude…. I want to be able to prevent someone from a remote location from snooping around my hard disk files, cking out where I’ve gone online, keep my email msgs private. ????

  • I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps

  • I hear Panda is very good. Also I have on my PC Webroot. This is great,I had Norton 360 and had Norton help me set it up and it couldn’t even catch a cold.My PC was slowing down and didn’t know why so I downloaded Webroot and it caught 400 spywares,2 trojan viruses.Webroot is $40 bucks a year.Well worth it .
