What is a lottery wheel?
Lottery wheeling is a way you can play multiple numbers on a lottery therefore increasing your chances of having a winning line as long as a certain number of numbers you have picked are drawn.
Consider the scenario where you play maybe 5 lines and on each line you select mostly different numbers. You might have a couple of favourite numbers that you like to include on each line. So overall you might play something like 18 different numbers but spread over 5 tickets.
On the day of the draw, you could have all 6 winning numbers but spread over different lottery tickets.
You might even find that you don’t win any prize at all.
But were you to wheel those 18 numbers, you could guarantee that if the same numbers were drawn, you would definitely have at least one winning line. The winning line might only be for 4 numbers, but it could also be for 5 or even all 6.
Thing is, you still have to be lucky and some of your selected wheel numbers have to come up in the lottery draw.
Here is a simple example.
Let’s say you normally play 3 tickets with these numbers:
7, 13, 18, 34, 38, 42
7, 13, 21, 35, 37, 52
7, 13, 22, 33, 44, 55
7 and 13 are your lucky numbers so you play then all the time. All together you have selected 14 different numbers. If the lottery draw was 1, 18, 34, 37, 44, 55 you would win no cash prize, however, across the 3 tickets, you would have 5 numbers but just not on the same ticket. So you missed out on a cash win.
If you wheeled those 14 numbers and the same draw happened, you could guarantee a win. Here’s how:
Your 14 numbers are:
7, 13, 18, 21, 22, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, 42, 44, 52, 55
If you wheeled those 14 numbers over 20 tickets you would play the following 20 tickets and providing at least 5 numbers came up on draw day, you would be guaranteed at least one 4 number win.
7, 13, 18, 22, 38, 55
7, 21, 34, 35, 38, 44
7, 13, 18, 22, 37, 52
13, 22, 33, 37, 38, 55
7, 13, 22, 33, 34, 44
7, 34, 35, 37, 38, 55
7, 18, 33, 37, 52, 55
13, 21, 33, 35, 44, 55
7, 13, 18, 21, 34, 38
13, 18, 34, 42, 44, 55
13, 21, 22, 35, 37, 52
7, 21, 34, 35, 44, 52
13, 22, 35, 37, 42, 44
7, 13, 22, 34, 42, 52
Now if the same lottery draw as before happened where the winning numbers were 1, 18, 34, 37, 44, 55 you would have one 4 number win out of those 20 tickets. You might also get lucky and have more than one 4 number win and maybe a 5 number win.
